i painted this way back in 03 but i just recently sold it.
it's interesting to me the way watching people interact with my work changes how i feel about it.

i find that even if i disagree with what they say or how they feel that reaction becomes a part of the work from then on. positive or negative.

 like finding out the lead singer of your favorite band is a super-douche. just can't love those songs quite the same.

manifesto

goals. it's good to have them, right?
mine are pretty simple:

1. make things every day.
2. keep a roof over my head and the utilities on.
3. connect with others + feel a sense of community.
4. don't be too much of a dick to my fellow humans.

some of these are deceptively difficult to manage day to day.

what am i doing with a blog? i'm not too sure.
i think mostly i just want a place to feel accountable.
check my progress. things in the vast space of the internet that nobody reads.
it's comforting in a way.
